Eight quick ways to increase your wealth

  1. Avoid interest

Allah destroys interest and gives increase for charity. Allah does not like every sinning disbeliever”.
Quran 2:276
  1. Keep up family ties

The Prophet Muhammad said “Whoever would like his provision increased and his life extended, should uphold ties of kinship”. (Bukhari)
  1. Give thanks to Allah

Allah teaches us in the Quran “And if you all give thanks [to Me], I shall surely increase you.” Quran 14:7
  1. Seek Allah’s forgiveness

Prophet Noah told his people “Seek forgiveness from your Lord, indeed He is ever forgiving. He will send upon you rain from the skies in showers and will increase you in wealth and children”. Quran 71:10-12
  1. Give in charity

Allah has said “Spend Oh son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.” The Prophet also said, “Charity does not reduce wealth.” (Bukhari, Muslim)  The physical amount outwardly decreases, but the remaining amount attracts barakah so that the actual benefit from it is not less. [al-Nawawi, Sharh Muslim]
  1. Be conscious of Allah

Whosoever is conscious of Allah, He makes for them a way out and provides for them sustenance from where they expect not.” Quran 65:2-3
  1. Recite the Quran

The Prophet said, “Indeed, the house in which the Qur’an is recited – the goodness [in it] increases…” and in another version, “things are made easier for its family.” [Ibn Kathir, Tafsir]
  1. Ask Allah to increase you.

When the Prophet prayed for Anas Bin Malik, the first thing he prayed for was wealth, amongst others things. We should ask Allah to place wealth in our hands, not hearts. (Incident found in Bukhari).
