Fasting the day of Arafat

The day of Arafat is the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah, which is the 12th and final month of the Islamic Calendar. This is the day where Millions of pilgrims stand on the plain of Arafat to pray and ask Allah for forgiveness. It is highly recommended for Muslims who are not performing Hajj to fast on the day of Arafat.  

The prophet (SAW) said: “Whoever fasts the day of Arafat, Allah will forgive their previous year and their current year of sins”

Fasting the day of Arafat is a fantastic opportunity to please Allah, thereby absolving sins. 

If you think about it, by fasting the day of Arafat, just one day a year, you can wipe away years of sins, and this is all through the Mercy of the Most Merciful. So on this glorious day of blessing, fast for the sake of Allah. Don’t let laziness prevent you from receiving a share of His Mercy.
